How Used Honda Fireblades Hold Their Value

How Used Honda Fireblades Hold Their Value Source: Visor Down

The Honda Fireblade is the motorcycle that ushered in a new era in the design of modern sports bikes. It is not the most powerful sports bike. The secret Honda used was to make the Fireblade lighter, which made it more stable in races. It equally handles well when used as a road bike. At the time, it was the lightest bike - weighing in at 185 kg, while other manufacturers’ bikes were more than 200 kg.

High-Quality Materials

Despite the Fireblade being one of the lightest sports bikes, Honda did not cut corners in the production of the bike. When the first version appeared in 1992, many critics were saying the bike would not last. However, it has proved them wrong by being rather faultless, and with proper maintenance, it can clock up to 100,000 miles.

Honda’s engineering prowess has made the Fireblade a perfect bike on and off the track. It has won countless TT races and four BSB championships. At the legendary Isle of Man TT, the Fireblade became the first machine in history to break the 130 mph barrier as well as the 200 mph barrier at North West, making it a class act.

Annual Upgrades

Over the years, Honda has continued to make upgrades to the Fireblades, making them bigger and better, yet lightweight and trendier. It has maintained the best road balance for stability, sharp steering, and comfort. With its exotic exterior, and the excellent Honda finish, it is far better than what other manufacturers’ can offer.

From the first, all Fireblades have quality brakes, suspension, span adjustable levers, HESD damper, and a host of amazing features. The Fireblade has better fuel economy than its rivals. The resale value of a used Fireblade is one of the factors that have propelled it to the top Bike of the Year since 2011.
